React Job: Automation & Integration Expert

As our Automation and Integration Expert, you will be in charge of the maintenance and development of our non-SAP technical platform, focused on integration and automation purposes.

You will be responsible for

• Although you will be supported by external partners, we expect you to be able to do Proofs of Concepts and pilots yourself and to guide the technical teams not only during the design phase, but also during the construction and quality tests.
• We believe in internal ownership of our systems, so we want you to know our platform in detail and be able to support and improve our current applications. We want you to feel free to innovate, to learn, and also to make mistakes, as far as you transform them in lessons for the future.
• Our platform is based on SAP ECC 6.0, so it is advisable that you know about SAP BASIS and ABAP, especially on the communication and integration areas. All your colleagues are SAP people with several decades of experience, so no worries, you will not be alone.

In addition to SAP, you would deal with the following technologies:

• Databases: mySQL and Cassandra. Cassandra is very important in our platform, so it would be very good that you know it well or, at least, understand how Big Data works.
• Operating Systems: Linux, mostly CentOs 7, but we also have some servers with SUSE
• Web Servers: Apache2, Nginx and NodeJs
• Web applications: some old apps are running in PHP and SAPUI5, but most of them are using ReactJs as frontend and PHP as backend.
• Integration technologies: we run Rest APIs, SOAP APIs, Webhooks, WebSockets, TCP Sockets and Unix Sockets. We are not using frameworks, but PHP developments.
• Applications: Oracle HFM and FDMEE (nowadays externalized, but still integrated with other systems)

We are looking for:

• Experience as System Architect
• Experience preparing blueprints, designs and risk assessments
• Understanding of business cases
• Ability to deal with external consultants and support teams
• And, very important: ability to communicate in English. Nobody will ask for BBC English, but you cannot expect to use any other language in any forum, so fluency in English is essential.
